One of my favorite bloggers has long been Mike of Ifs of Og. A while back, Mike discontinued his blog, and we wondered what came of him.
Out of the blue, Mike answered an email from me today. He's still alive on this earth, which should come as no surprise, since it takes a live person to discontinue a blog.
I have no explanation to share with you as yet about Mike's withdrawal from blogging life. But, I'm glad he's still with us.
And, I hope he'll one day choose to share his writing online again, because I'm a selfish bastard.

Oh my gosh! You know, your imagination runs away with you when somebody just stops and you never hear from him for just a long long time. Like maybe he was walking and was set upon by a pack of poodles who had been turned loose into the streets of his city by people who had be hit hard by the recession, and could now longer keep their dogs, so released their poodles who formed a pack of wild poodles preying upon unwary pedestrians. And the poodles had viciously attacked, tearing at his ankles and then he managed to beat them off with a construction cone he was able to stumble towards, a miraculous thing since he was engulfed in a mass of writhing snarling poodles, but he did it, miraculously, as I said, and managed to beat the dogs off. They ran off and Mike was able to make it home using the construction cone as a crutch (at the very least directing traffic around him when he lagged, faint because of blood loss, but finally, he made it home, and staggered to his computer and sent you an e-mail. That is great! Merry Christmas, Mike, I miss you too. It was good hearing from you, because, like I said, sometimes my imagination runs away with me when somebody just stops blogging. So. There you are. You should start blogging again. Because Hal said so, and because I said so.
Oh, man! I'm frightened at Debby's description of those wild poodles!!
Glad your friend is still with us.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I'd wondered about Mike. I'm glad to hear he's okay.
After the poodle comment, I think now I'm more worried about Debby than about Mike...
